Vancouver

Host of the 2010 Olympics, Vancouver is perennially ranked as one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a majestic mountainous backdrop and lush landscape of green grass and cherry blossoms. It’s also known for great Japanese food with more sushi restaurants and izakayas than you can shake a yakitori stick at.

On May 22, Vancouver will be host to some of the best music from Japan:

This tour is run by one person who is doing it strictly out of charity and a hobby. He donates a massive amount of money to cover the travel costs and hotel accomodations for the bands. Airfare alone costs more than $40,000. On top of paying for the tour all by himself, he has to design posters, write press releases, contact media, do interviews, secure instruments and backline, book and rent the venues, and go through the painful ordeal of obtaining a Labour Market Opinion and work permits for the bands. Then on the tour, he must be the host, emcee, DJ, translator, roadie, and occasionally the doorperson. This poor guy is about to have a nervous breakdown!!!!!! If you can make this dude's life a little easier by helping to spread word about the tour, then please do. That's all he asks.

As best as I can I am going to give each show a great party/festival vibe. At some shows I will even go out and buy Japanese food to give away free to the audience. So you guys better have fun, dance and make lots of noise!!
