After leaving crowds picking their jaws up from the floor, jizue who participated in NMFT6 in 2014 return to Canada in October for NMFT9.
Hailing from Japan's former capital city of Kyoto, jizue was born out of a love of jazz and... soccer. Their band name (pronounced ji-zu) is a derivation of French soccer legend Zinedine Zidane's nickname 'Zizou.' Post-rock and jazz form the roots of jizue's music; however, they embrace a multitude of styles such as electronic, hardcore, noise and salsa to add character and variety to their songs. Phenomenally talented musicians, jizue's smooth instrumental jazz driven by piano and clean guitars packs an unexpectedly fearsome punch.
